Shopping addict? Not me....

Today was a big one.

Lunch with a friend who then accompanied me shopping. Big mistake because Luke is as big a shopper as me, and neither of us actually have any real money.

There was a market on at mighty mighty - the coolest bar in town and I hit pay dirt for 50's gear. I have basically doubled my wardrobe!

Strangely enough it was a day when i got randomly given stuff also. The lady in the dry cleaners gave me her mothers beautiful glove set and my friend who sells berets (see my website list below if you need a beret BTW) gave me a truly gorgeous green felt hat from the 40's. Which strengthened my shopping resolve as I needed to buy things to match these accessories.

It all makes sense in my head.

It was also the first summer day we have had in this freezing town, so i dressed up in my blue summer dress. I later helpfully found a matching blue hat.

We had so much fun - Luke is my clothes horse, we were looking for an outfit for him to wear to a burlesque event next week, and look what we found..

So all in all it was a successful day - for the credit card companies and every vintage shop in town. But at least i wont have to wear the same thing every day now.

And to finish it all off i landed up with 3 teenagers who got me to dye their hair red. So its now 10.39 and i have three redheads who have only just had dinner and are demanding the laptop to watch a truly crappy DVD. Wish me luck.
